The project concerns the radical transformation of an existing single-family house from 1970 and the remodeling study of its exterior facade.
The aim of the architectural composition is to modernize the residence internally and externally, so as to create a modern living space based on the needs of the user. Characteristic is the location of the residence, which, while located in the urban center, gives the impression of the countryside due to the existing plantation. Starting with this, the window openings are maximized in order to maximize the presence of light and in order to unify the interior with the exterior space.
The residence now acquires an identity through the vertical metal elements on the facade, which is the main characteristic of the architectural composition. The repetition of vertical elements with different widths at a various frequency provides rhythm, movement and various shading to the building.
