The project involves the accommodation of new educational activities for the Metropolitan College within an existing six-storey historical building located on Egnatia Street in the city center of Thessaloniki. The renovation was undertaken with the aim of creating a contemporary and vibrant academic environment that fosters interaction, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas among students and future professionals.

The ground floor and mezzanine, due to their limited size, house the reception area and administrative offices. From the first to the fourth floor, educational spaces and breakout zones are organized around a central atrium, which spans the full height of the building, allowing natural light to permeate all interior levels.

The fifth floor accommodates the college’s administrative and support offices, while the sixth floor hosts the library and reading room. Thanks to its glazed façade, the library enjoys unobstructed views toward Thessaloniki’s Upper Town, offering a bright and tranquil study environment.

The building’s façade is listed as preserved, and the architectural intervention focused on its careful restoration and enhancement, highlighting its historic character while maintaining its integral presence within the city’s urban fabric.
