It’s the housing of needs of the new IEK SVIE in Patras in an existing neoclassical preserved building in the city center. The school’s reception and offices are located on the ground floor, while the IEK’s educational areas are located on the upper floor. The facade is repainted and illuminated, as it’s a preserved building where no additional interventions are allowed. A large reception area is created, where flowing shapes are found in disparate materials and space elements, forming furniture, decorative and functional recesses, floors and luminous continuities. The offices are placed in an imaginary single glass volume that is divided into individual areas and marked by color through the ceiling and colored floor. Individual colored glass volumes are created which interact within a single white background and house separate functions of the IEK.
