The project concerns the transformation of a ground-floor space in central Athens into a contemporary office environment, following an open-plan layout. The program includes a reception area, a spacious waiting zone, enclosed work booths for focused tasks and client meetings, and a large meeting room.
The floor plan is designed to enhance the sense of openness, allowing for fluid and unrestricted circulation. During the design process, special attention was given to acoustic comfort through research into sound-insulating office equipment. Pendant lighting, wall coverings, and carpets serve both functional and aesthetic purposes—reducing reverberation while defining the visual character of the interior.
The layout is divided into two main zones: the entrance area with an amphitheatrically arranged waiting space, and the second half of the plan, where wooden work booths are positioned in a free-form configuration. The square open space adjoins the enclosed meeting room, which benefits from natural light through a glazed partition facing the building’s inner courtyard.
