The residence is situated on a sloped, elongated plot of 2,000 sq.m. The surrounding landscape is rich in vegetation, while the eastern orientation and elevated position offer panoramic views of the natural environment.
The design brief called for open-plan living areas, two bedrooms, a shared bathroom, a master bedroom, outdoor living spaces, a swimming pool, and a basement for auxiliary functions and parking.
Due to the shape of the plot, the house develops along a linear plan with large openings oriented toward the view. The steep terrain led to the placement of the building at the center of the site to maximize visual and spatial connection with the landscape. At the rear, a stone retaining wall is positioned at a corridor’s distance from the structure. Treating the building as a single, elongated volume creates the impression of a semi-subterranean residence and, together with the chosen color palette, allows it to blend seamlessly into its natural surroundings.
The entrance is centrally located, dividing the layout into two zones: to the left lie the private areas (bedrooms and bathrooms), while to the right are the communal living spaces. Given the residence’s position outside the urban fabric, a key design objective was to ensure an effortless connection between interior and exterior life. The living room opens directly to the outdoor seating and BBQ area through a large sliding glass partition, while the roof slab extends over the exterior zone, reinforcing the spatial continuity and immersive experience between inside and out.
