The project concerns the construction of a new five-storey residential building with a pilotis and basement in Palaio Faliro. The total area of the building is approximately 500 sq.m., comprising five floor apartments of 95 sq.m. each. The apartments are spatially divided along a central axis: the bedrooms are positioned toward the rear for enhanced privacy, while the living and dining areas open toward the front façade, oriented to the view. This configuration creates a clear separation between private and communal zones, promoting both functionality and comfort, and establishing a fluid connection between the interior spaces and the surrounding urban landscape.
Situated on a freestanding plot, the building’s volumetric composition takes full advantage of its open context, moving away from the conventional contractor-style typology. The architectural expression is defined by a peripheral prismatic frame that unifies the balconies across all floors, creating a cohesive visual identity and a distinct presence within the urban environment.
The external walls are clad with aluminum slats in a wood-textured finish, imparting warmth and material depth to the façade while ensuring durability and minimal maintenance. The interplay between solid geometry and natural-toned materials strikes a balance between simplicity and contemporary sophistication, establishing the building as a refined example of modern urban living that emphasizes architectural clarity and constructional precision.
